Getting Prepared

Requirements To Board

Boarding Cancelation Policy

We will require a 50% deposit on all boarding services, whether or not they occur over the holidays or high season.

If you need to cancel or modify any scheduled service for your pet, we require that you do so at least 48 hours (about 2 days) ahead of check-in.

Costs will result in a charge for the service to the credit card on file or a debit placed on your account. No other services will be scheduled or accepted until this debit is cleared from your account. If you cancel your boarding reservation within 48 hours of your boarding stay, you will be subject to losing deposit placed on your boarding stay.

If you cancel or modify your holiday or high season boarding reservation more than 14 days (about 2 weeks) before your original check-in date, your boarding deposit will be held on your account for one year and can be used for a future service.

At the Lodge, we understand that every dog is unique and we aim to tailor our services to address their individual needs. This process starts with your dog’s comprehensive on-site assessment. Prior to their first day of boarding or daycare, we require a half-day visit to assess your dog’s socials skills with other dogs and humans, how well they tolerate enclosures, and their feeding habits among other observations. The assessment will also give you dog a chance to get to know us too. Within 48 hours after the assessment, we’ll email you a detailed report that will give you an overview of your dog’s behaviors and social skills.

This assessment begins by completing a Pet Profile form. This form gives us a detailed look at your dog’s social, behavioral, and health history.

Because our assessments are a very involved, we do require an assessment fee of $50.00. This includes a half day of daycare as well as special one on one care to ensure their first day at the Lodge is as successful as possible. On the rare chance that your pet does not pass their assessment, you will never be charged this fee.

To schedule an assessment, please complete our Assessment Form. Alternatively you can reach out to our Client Services team via the chat widget in the bottom right corner, email us at “pittsboro@greenbeaglelodge.com”, or call us on (919) 929-7387.

To ensure the safety and happiness of all our guests, the following in-date vaccinations are required for any visit to the Lodge:

    •      – Distemper/Parvo
    •      – Rabies
    •      – Bordetella
    •      – Current Negative Fecal Exam

All pets must be in good general health to stay at the Green Beagle Lodge.  Any pet known to have been exposed to a contagious virus must wait 30 days or until written clearance by his or her veterinarian is given before visiting the Lodge. If internal parasites are discovered, the pet will be quarantined and the owner will be called to discuss treatment plans.

These records can be requested from your vet and uploaded directly to your Owner Portal. Alternatively you can ask your veterinarian to send them directly to us at pbforms@greenbeaglelodge.com.

We follow a rigorous program of flea and tick prevention.  All pets must be on a monthly flea and tick prevention program.  All pets will be checked thoroughly for fleas and ticks prior to admittance.

If any are fleas/ticks are found, the pet will be treated immediately, at the owner’s expense, before being allowed to enter the lodging area.

Any medication that must be administered during your pet’s stay must be provided in the original packaging. In addition, a Medication & Supplements Form must be completed prior to drop-off for each pet receiving medication. We ask that this form be completed within 48 hours of arrival to ensure it is as accurate as possible to your pet’s care needs.

This policy also applies to all non-prescription supplements such as fish oil or over-the-counter allergy medications.

We kindly ask that you pack light when bringing your pets to board at the Lodge. All items must be labeled clearly with your pet’s first and last name. We advise you not to pack anything especially precious, as these articles may be lost or damaged during your pet’s stay in spite of our preventative efforts.

FOOD: We recommend continuing your pet’s usual diet during boarding. Their food can either be portioned out into individual meals or in a large resealable bag or container. We cannot accept any containers made of glass or ceramic. We ask they you only bring enough food for their stay, plus a couple of meals just in case.

BEDDING: The Lodge provides all bedding including comfortable Kuranda cots for your pets, and we kindly ask that you leave their regular beds at home. However, if you would like to bring a single blanket or piece of clothing, we will happily provide that to them during their stay with us.

TOYS: We allow for one durable toy per pet. For safety reasons, toys with stuffing, squeakers, or other potential hazards cannot be placed in the enclosure with your pet.

CATS: For safety reasons, please bring cats in their carrier labeled with your cat’s first and last names.

If you have any additional questions regarding what to bring for your pet, please let us know in the box below and our Client Care team will reach out to you shortly with assistance.
